New Brunswick rises to the call to support wildfire efforts in Alberta and Newfoundland.
Teams from the Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development, DTI Radio Communications and FPL have mobilized across Canada to support our neighbours in their fight against wildfires.
To Newfoundland and Labrador
🛩 A bird dog aircraft with a crew of one pilot, one air attack officer and one aircraft maintenance engineer.
🌲 20 wildland firefighters and one agency representative.
To Alberta
🛩 Two air tankers with a crew of two aerial firefighting pilots and two aircraft maintenance engineers.
🌲Two radio communication technicians join a crew of 22 wildland fighters already on the ground.
These operations highlight the collaboration between the Wildfire Management Branch, RADCOM, district forest ranger offices and Forest Protection Limited. Together, we are proud to answer the call and provide critical support to our provincial counterparts across Canada.
