Forest Protection Limited is proud to announce the addition of the AT-802 Fire Boss platform to our aerial wildfire suppression fleet, further strengthening our response capabilities across New Brunswick and beyond.
The first of two specialized amphibious airtankers will join the FPL fleet of wheeled AT-802 aircraft in 2025. This addition builds on FPL’s recent fleet modernization, which includes the introduction of three Cessna C208 aircraft and upgraded Air Tractor AT-802s over the past two years. With the Fire Boss, FPL is further enhancing its operational readiness to meet growing wildfire risks driven by climate change and increasing demand for regional and interprovincial support.
Benefits of the Fire Boss platform
- Amphibious scooping capability for sustained wildfire attack
- Reduced turnaround time and improved mission efficiency
- Effective response in high-tempo or remote fire zones
- Greater flexibility in coordination with air and ground resources
The phased introduction of the Fire Boss aircraft is part of FPL’s long-term commitment to delivering best-in-class aerial fire management solutions to the communities we serve.
