2026 marks major milestones for Forest Protection Limited and wildfire suppression across Atlantic Canada.
NEW BRUNSWICK: FPL continues its long-standing partnership with the Province of New Brunswick, now strengthened with fleet expansion to include four Fire Boss aircraft. The combination of wheeled and amphibious aircraft significantly increases wildfire response effectiveness across the province.
NOVA SCOTIA: May 1 marks FPL’s first full season supporting wildfire response efforts in Nova Scotia. Working alongside Nova Scotia’s four provincial helicopters, FPL will deploy four air tankers and a Bird Dog aircraft to strengthen coordinated provincial wildfire response capability.
This is significant for wildfire suppression across the Maritimes. With resources positioned across the region, the focus remains clear: regional collaboration, shared capacity and supporting one another when it matters most.
